We moved to Atlanta a year ago and purposely rented so we could take time to look around before choosing a home. We chose West Village because we like the townhome itself. Upon checking, Monte Hewett had such a good in the Atlanta area. We also thought it was a good investment and a nice place to live. It’s just my wife and I, so we eat quite frequently at the five restaurants in the Village.
We did a walk through before we closed and found just small things that occurred because of the traffic that had been through the home. They jumped right on it and got it corrected.
Our apartment was much smaller, but we moved from a 3,500 square foot house in Tallahassee to our townhome, which is about 2,800 square feet. One thing we like about it was that the space was conducive to placing all of our things. It’s bigger than it looks.
We were pleased to have the option of buying an environmentally friendly home. In our apartment and our home in Tallahassee, we would set our thermostat around 70 this time of year. Now we’re running it at 74 or 76, and that’s with our main living area facing directly west and getting the afternoon sun. We’re able to do that because of the EarthCraft construction.
The home is quiet, too. If there are people on either side of us, I wouldn’t know it. Recently, some F-16’s from the air base were flying over. I could hear them if I stepped outside on my deck, but not inside our home.
I would definitely build with Monte Hewett Homes again.
